This Privacy Policy describes how TradeTrackd ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our trading journal platform at tradetrackd.com.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Account information: Email address and password when you create an account
• Trade data: Trade entries you log manually, paste, or upload via screenshot — including asset name, direction, entry/exit prices, PnL, dates, and notes
• Journal entries: Daily trading journal text you write within the app
• Affiliate codes: If you enter or share a referral code

Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and general interaction with the platform
• Device info: Browser type, operating system, and screen size for display optimization
• Local storage: Trade data is also cached in your browser's local storage for offline access

Payment Information

We do not store your credit card details. All payment data is handled directly by Stripe. We only receive a subscription status confirmation. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the TradeTrackd platform
• To authenticate your account and manage your subscription
• To display your trade history, statistics, and journal entries to you
• To process payments through Stripe
• To track affiliate referrals and calculate commissions
• To respond to support requests
• To send important service updates (not marketing without consent)

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your trade data for advertising purposes.

3. AI Features & Screenshot Analysis

TradeTrackd includes an optional AI-powered feature that allows you to upload a screenshot of a trade from any platform and have the trade details automatically extracted.

• When you use the Screenshot feature, your image is sent to Anthropic's Claude API via a secure proxy (Cloudflare Worker) for analysis
• The image is used solely to extract trade data (symbol, prices, PnL, dates) and is not stored by Anthropic beyond the immediate API call
• Your API usage is processed under Anthropic's Privacy Policy
• Your Anthropic API key is never stored in the app — it is kept securely in a Cloudflare Worker environment variable
• Usage of the screenshot feature is limited to 30 analyses per user per month
• The screenshot AI feature is entirely optional — the app works fully without it

5. Payments & Billing

TradeTrackd is a paid subscription service. Subscriptions are billed monthly ($9.99 CAD/month) or annually ($99 CAD/year).

• All payments are processed securely by Stripe
• We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full billing details
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Stripe billing portal
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us at prab_karwal@hotmail.com

6. Affiliate Program

TradeTrackd operates an affiliate program where content creators and partners can earn commissions by referring new subscribers.

• Affiliate codes are tracked via Stripe promotion codes
• When someone signs up using your code, we record the referral in our system to calculate your commission
• Affiliate payout information (name, email/PayPal) is stored securely and used only for commission payments
• We do not share affiliate data with third parties outside of payment processing

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information and trade data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:

• Your trade data and journal entries are deleted from our Supabase database within 30 days
• Your browser's local storage data is cleared when you sign out or clear your browser data
• Stripe retains billing records as required by financial regulations

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data:

• All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
• Authentication is handled by Supabase with industry-standard security
• API keys and secrets are stored in environment variables, never in client-side code
• Row-level security (RLS) on our database ensures you can only access your own data

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Portability: Request an export of your trade data in a readable format
• Objection: Object to how we process your data

10. Children's Privacy

TradeTrackd is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Canadian Users

TradeTrackd is operated from Canada. By using our service, you consent to the collection and processing of your information as described in this policy in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including PIPEDA. Your data may be stored on servers located outside of Canada (including the United States via Supabase and Netlify).

12. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of TradeTrackd after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. For significant changes, we will notify users via email or an in-app notice.
